Thank you to everyone who joined us for the 1st Newfoundland.Gold Virtual Investor Days held from June 1- 3, 2021. Newfoundland.Gold is an alliance of companies focused on the advancement of mineral exploration and mining projects in Canada’s Newfoundland. Our first group effort to present our companies and our jurisdiction was a great success.
Mining is one of Newfoundland and Labrador’s largest and oldest industries and a major contributor to the economy of the province with a history that dates back centuries. Exciting times exist in the region of Newfoundland, a top-ranked exploration and mining jurisdiction, currently experiencing a modern-day gold rush. Our timing, to present information about the leading companies operating in Newfoundland was fabulous. We had a great group of nine leading companies present over the three-day event. Collectively, these industry leaders are committed to bringing awareness to an exciting and supportive jurisdiction while generating shareholder value through responsible and innovative exploration and development. Our corporate presentations were complemented by informative keynote presentations from Denis Laviolette from New Found Gold, Prospector Shawn Ryan & Geologist Richard Goldfarb as well as remarks from Dr. Hamish Sandeman from Newfoundland & Labrador Government and Assistant Deputy Minister, Mines Alex Smith.
A special thanks to our moderators Michael McCrae, Greg McCoach and Gwen Preston along with Anne Turner and Leneath Yanson of CSR Management Services, and Dasha Schwartz from 6ix, who in very short timelines pulled together a fabulous conference and provided a high bar for future events. Newfoundland.Gold is focused on creating innovative capital attraction initiatives to promote Newfoundland and the member companies. This inaugural event is simply the beginning. We will continue to develop our online presence to build awareness towards the opportunities in Newfoundland with plans for site visits, roadshows and conference attendance once COVID travel restrictions are lifted.
